The balloon is dependent on light winds for take-off and landing. Since the sun generates strong thermal winds over the course of the day, depending on the region, only morning rides are carried out in the mountain regions and the foothills of the Alps such as Lucerne, the Bernese Oberland and Graubünden. For morning rides, the meeting point is always around sunrise.
In flatter areas such as Zurich, in Eastern Switzerland, in the Mittelland, Bern, etc., afternoon rides can also be carried out. The meeting point there is then around 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., depending on the time of year.
